Director of Schools

“GO BIG BLUE” has been in my heart for over 50 years, as I am a proud product of Chester County Schools. My educational journey began in 1973 at East Chester Elementary School, where I attended grades 1 through 5. In 1978, I moved on to North Chester School for sixth grade, followed by Chester County Junior High from 1979 to 1981. I graduated with the proud Class of 1985 from Chester County High School. During those formative years, I was fortunate to receive a quality education delivered by outstanding educators who helped shape my path.

After high school, I earned my Associate Degree from Jackson State Community College, followed by a Bachelor’s Degree from Lambuth College in 1991. That same year, I began my professional career in education with Chester County Schools as a math teacher and football coach at both Chester County Junior High and Chester County High School.

In 2000, I completed my Master’s Degree at Freed-Hardeman University and was appointed principal of Chester County High School for the 2000–2001 school year. I proudly served as principal for fourteen years, creating lasting memories with students and staff while celebrating many academic and extracurricular achievements.

In the summer of 2014, I was honored to be appointed Superintendent of Schools, a role I continue to serve in today. These years have brought continued successes, memories, and milestones, as Chester County Schools have earned both state and national recognition for delivering an exceptional education to our students.

I am married to Amanda (Snider) Kilzer, of the CCHS Class of 1990. We are blessed with three children: Kate (Class of 2020), Jordan (Class of 2022), and Zoe (Class of 2025), all of whom are proud graduates of Chester County Schools. This school system has been an integral part of my life—a truly great place to work, learn, and live.

As I said at the beginning and will always say: GO BIG BLUE!
