Cristy Swope, Principal

Welcome to Chester County Middle School. I am excited to be your principal. Just to let you know a little about me. I graduated from Oklahoma Christian University with a Bachelor Degree in Finance and Business Management. Later I went back to school to get a Master's in Education and started teaching in Chester County. While teaching, I received my license in Administration/Supervision from Freed-Hardeman University. I taught 6th grade for eight years, instructional coach for one year, and assistant principal at CCJHS for three years.

I am married to John Swope and am blessed to have three children: Ashley, Hunter, and Lillie.

I am pleased to serve you as the CCMS principal. We strive to be a community of learners striving for excellence and success for all students. We encourage students to follow the 3 R's – Be Ready to Learn, Be Responsible, & Be Respectful in all that they do. We believe that all students can learn and succeed in a supportive environment. This goes hand in hand with our school motto: "Soaring for Success One Day at a Time".

Sarah Hibbett, Instructional Coach

I am excited to serve as the Instructional Coach for Chester County Middle School. I have worked closely with the students in our county during the last two years fulfilling the role of Math Coach for grades K-6. I completed my Bachelors degree in Elementary Education and also my Masters in Curriculum and Instruction at Freed-Hardeman University. I began my teaching career in Jackson in 1992 and joined the West Chester Elementary staff in 1993. In addition to my experience in the regular classroom, I worked as an instructional coach in Fayette County and also as a consultant to promote environmental education in our schools. In recent years I have taught instructional strategies courses in the School of Education at Freed-Hardeman University.

My greatest blessings are my husband, Lee, and my daughters Elisabeth (14) and Rachel Grace (8). Our daughters are students in Chester County Schools so I have a vested interest in our system. I have an intense passion for children and a deep devotion to making their school experiences ones that are rewarding. Optimizing learning opportunities for every child is my goal, and I am thrilled to serve the families of Chester County Middle School in this way.
